Services We Provide
CMMS is more than an excellent school; it is an environment in which your child will grow in
knowledge and confidence.  Your child’s class will be like a miniature society where the
children will work and learn together in harmony, while retaining their individuality.  With the
teacher’s support and direction, the children strive to become responsible for their own
behavior and to help the community by observing rules necessary for peaceful living.  Your
child will become secure, happy, and curious while at CMMS.

At CMMS, the children study and learn the three

classic “R’s” (Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic).

CMMS goes on to teach their students about

five extra “R’s” that are vital to a successful life.  These

          are Respect, Responsibility, Reasoning, Resilience,

and Resourcefulness.  The focus on these “R’s” make

the Children’s Manor Montessori School a natural

          laboratory for learning!

CMMS incorporates the basic tenets of the

Montessori Philosophy with a 21st century mentality.

Consequently, we have chosen to: mix age groups by
1½ years, incorporate both individual and group instruction, enhance our cultural studies
curriculum by learning about holidays and celebrations from around the world, and enrich our
academic learning by incorporating specialty programs (such as Computers, Spanish, Music,
Library, Art, and Physical Education) into the curriculum.  The success of these methods in
educating children can be seen from the evaluations of CMMS
students over the years, which indicate that almost all students
are one to three years ahead in reading and mathematics as
compared to their public school counterparts.  Further, most
of our students who begin attending CMMS at age 2 are
reading by the time they enter our Kindergarten Program.
This is a significant step above what a parent can expect
from their child if they wait to being educational career in the
public school system.  This is in large part due to our Phonics-
based language curriculum that provides every child with the “sounds” necessary to link
letters to make words, and then words to make sentences.
